Petition by Jean Gerrard calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to amend the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 to abolish the over-use of Compulsory Treatment Orders for non-violent mentally ill patients and to provide a process which allows patients and their representatives to challenge any perceived errors in CTO report which can lead to misdiagnoses, faulty speculation and the administration of unwarranted forms of treatment.
